This Grand Boulevard Reclaimed Wood End Table is ready to ship. Note that the photos shown are of the actual table.
Our Grand Boulevard Reclaimed Wood End Table table measures 18" x 28" x 22-3/4" tall and has a 1-1/2" welded tube steel base. The shelf sits at 8" from floor. This table has all-natural finishes. The Workshop Legacy Stamp is hand-stamped along the edge near the table corner and indicates the street address in Detroit from where the lumber was reclaimed from.
The lumber used in the making of this table was carefully reclaimed from 19031 Livernois Avenue in Detroit. The building was the former B. Siegel women's apparel store located at the corner of 7 Mile Rd and Livernois. The first B. Siegel store opened in downtown Detroit in 1884 and eventually grew to eight locations. The store at 19031 Livernois helped the area to be known as Detroit's "Avenue Of Fashion."
The Grand Boulevard style of furniture gives credence to the street it is named after. Made from reclaimed wood 2x4’s, creating a ‘grand’ 2-3/4" thick slab. Milled and face joined to expose the edge grain and rough-sawn edges, these tops celebrate all of the characteristics of the lumbers life for the past 100 years.
Every Workshop furniture piece is handmade in Detroit using old growth structural pine salvaged from Detroit homes. Essentially, we are giving this old-growth lumber a third life.
