Reimagine your dining space with the Workshop Moderne Reclaimed Wood Dining Table, a stunning creation from Workshop that marries the soulful depth of reclaimed urban lumber with the sleek, timeless hint of mid-century modern design. This table is more than a place to gather—it’s a celebration of history, artistry, and sustainable elegance, poised to transform your kitchen or dining room into a sanctuary of style and connection.
The tabletop is solid wood and crafted from lumber salvaged from Detroit’s deconstructed homes and commercial structures. Each plank is a testament to time, its intricate grain, weathered patina, and subtle nail marks weaving a story of resilience and rebirth. Sealed with a low-luster finish, the wood’s warm, organic beauty shines, inviting touch and sparking conversation. The Workshop Legacy Stamp, hand-applied, reveals the street address of the reclaimed lumber’s origin, grounding your space in the rich narrative of Detroit’s past.
The base, a nod to mid-century modern elegance, features a hand-welded steel frame with delicate, three-rod hairpin legs that evoke the iconic designs of the 1950s. These slender, gracefully angled legs lend an airy sophistication, their rough-ground welds adding an artisanal edge that celebrates the craft. Adjustable feet ensure steadfast stability, while the fusion of reclaimed wood and sleek steel creates a striking balance—vintage yet contemporary, grounded yet light—that elevates any décor, from urban lofts to open suburban kitchens.
Picture the Workshop Moderne Dining Table as the heart of your home: its sleek rectangular form invites intimate dinners and lively gatherings, fostering moments of shared joy and connection. The mid-century-inspired hairpin legs add a touch of retro charm, making this table a conversation piece that effortlessly blends nostalgia with modern flair. Whether hosting a candlelit supper or a casual brunch, this table transforms every meal into an experience, its warm wood tones and sculptural base creating an atmosphere of refined hospitality.

Workshop Detroit FAQ
Where are our dining tables made?
All Workshop Detroit dining tables are handcrafted at our fabrication shop in Detroit, Michigan by our small team of skilled craftsmen. Every table is built to order with close attention to detail, durability, and finish.
What materials do you use for your dining tables?
We specialize in reclaimed, salvaged and sustainably sourced solid wood, including reclaimed pine, reclaimed oak, and select hardwoods depending on the design. Each tabletop is paired with heavy-duty steel or solid wood bases designed for long-term stability.
Will my table look exactly like the photos?
No two tables are exactly alike. Because we use real wood—often reclaimed—natural variations in grain, knots, and color are expected and celebrated. Your table will be similar in style and finish, but uniquely yours.
Can I customize the size or finish?
Yes. Most of our dining tables can be customized by size, wood species, finish color, and base style. If you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, contact us and we’ll help design a table that fits your space perfectly.
How long does it take to receive my table?
Because our tables are made to order, typical lead times range from 8–10 weeks depending on the design and current production schedule. We’ll provide an estimated timeline when your order is placed and keep you updated along the way.
Do you offer white glove delivery or in-home setup?
Yes. We offer in-home delivery and set up is available for many locations and includes delivery, placement, and packaging removal.
Are your dining tables durable enough for everyday use?
Absolutely. Our tables are built for daily life—family meals, dinner parties, work-from-home use, and everything in between. We use commercial-grade finishes that protect against spills, heat, and normal wear. Our tables are built to last for generations.
How do I care for and clean my dining table?
Routine care is simple. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners. No Bleach. Mild soap only. Coasters and placemats are recommended for added protection, as with any natural wood surface.
What if my table arrives damaged?
We stand behind our work. If your table arrives with shipping damage, contact us immediately and we’ll make it right—whether that means repair, replacement, or another solution.
