The High Street Dining Table has just been reimagined—now in stunning reclaimed oak with a matte black steel base. This isn’t just a place to dine; it’s a showpiece that transforms your dining room into the heart of your home.
The oak top, handcrafted from lumber reclaimed from southeast Michigan, hold decades of stories in every grain. Rich with character, each plank has its own unique pattern, warm tone, and weathered patina—no two sets will ever be the same. This is furniture with a soul, a connection to the past that brings depth and authenticity to your space.
Supporting this beauty is a base of hand-welded square tube steel, finished in a deep matte black powder coat. The bold 3-inch legs with adjustable feet don’t just provide rock-solid stability—they make a striking design statement. The marriage of rustic oak and modern steel creates a balance that’s both timeless and on-trend.
At Workshop Detroit, we build for more than today. Every High Street set is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, using time-honored methods and sustainably sourced materials to ensure it will be cherished for generations.

Workshop Detroit FAQ
Where are our dining tables made?
All Workshop Detroit dining tables are handcrafted at our fabrication shop in Detroit, Michigan by our small team of skilled craftsmen. Every table is built to order with close attention to detail, durability, and finish.
What materials do you use for your dining tables?
We specialize in reclaimed, salvaged and sustainably sourced solid wood, including reclaimed pine, reclaimed oak, and select hardwoods depending on the design. Each tabletop is paired with heavy-duty steel or solid wood bases designed for long-term stability.
Will my table look exactly like the photos?
No two tables are exactly alike. Because we use real wood—often reclaimed—natural variations in grain, knots, and color are expected and celebrated. Your table will be similar in style and finish, but uniquely yours.
Can I customize the size or finish?
Yes. Most of our dining tables can be customized by size, wood species, finish color, and base style. If you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, contact us and we’ll help design a table that fits your space perfectly.
How long does it take to receive my table?
Because our tables are made to order, typical lead times range from 8–10 weeks depending on the design and current production schedule. We’ll provide an estimated timeline when your order is placed and keep you updated along the way.
Do you offer white glove delivery or in-home setup?
Yes. We offer in-home delivery and set up is available for many locations and includes delivery, placement, and packaging removal.
Are your dining tables durable enough for everyday use?
Absolutely. Our tables are built for daily life—family meals, dinner parties, work-from-home use, and everything in between. We use commercial-grade finishes that protect against spills, heat, and normal wear. Our tables are built to last for generations.
How do I care for and clean my dining table?
Routine care is simple. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners. No Bleach. Mild soap only. Coasters and placemats are recommended for added protection, as with any natural wood surface.
What if my table arrives damaged?
We stand behind our work. If your table arrives with shipping damage, contact us immediately and we’ll make it right—whether that means repair, replacement, or another solution.
