Introducing the Ellis Dining Table, a beautiful mid-century-inspired centerpiece for your dining room or kitchen. Handcrafted at our shop on St. Antoine Street from solid reclaimed structural pine 2x4's, 2x6's and 2x8's, this table is built to last and withstand daily use for years to come.

The stunning solid wood top has distinctive and gently rounded corners. The table's surfaces are full of character and history, celebrating the lumber's life for the past 100 years, including its unique knots, grains, and imperfections.and 4" diameter legs made from solid wood. Each piece of lumber has been carefully selected and arranged to create a unique and beautiful tabletop that is sure to be the focal point of your dining room.

The substantial 4" diameter legs are made from solid wood and have adjustable feet, providing both a sturdy visual and physical foundation for the table.

Every table includes our Workshop Legacy Stamp. It's a hand-applied stamp on the edge of the table that indicates the street address in Detroit from where the lumber was reclaimed from.

Where are our dining tables made?

All Workshop Detroit dining tables are handcrafted at our fabrication shop in Detroit, Michigan by our small team of skilled craftsmen. Every table is built to order with close attention to detail, durability, and finish.

What materials do you use for your dining tables?

We specialize in reclaimed, salvaged and sustainably sourced solid wood, including reclaimed pine, reclaimed oak, and select hardwoods depending on the design. Each tabletop is paired with heavy-duty steel or solid wood bases designed for long-term stability.

Will my table look exactly like the photos?

No two tables are exactly alike. Because we use real wood—often reclaimed—natural variations in grain, knots, and color are expected and celebrated. Your table will be similar in style and finish, but uniquely yours.

Can I customize the size or finish?

Yes. Most of our dining tables can be customized by size, wood species, finish color, and base style. If you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, contact us and we’ll help design a table that fits your space perfectly.

How long does it take to receive my table?

Because our tables are made to order, typical lead times range from 8–10 weeks depending on the design and current production schedule. We’ll provide an estimated timeline when your order is placed and keep you updated along the way.

Do you offer white glove delivery or in-home setup?

Yes. We offer in-home delivery and set up is available for many locations and includes delivery, placement, and packaging removal.

Are your dining tables durable enough for everyday use?

Absolutely. Our tables are built for daily life—family meals, dinner parties, work-from-home use, and everything in between. We use commercial-grade finishes that protect against spills, heat, and normal wear. Our tables are built to last for generations.

How do I care for and clean my dining table?

Routine care is simple. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners. No Bleach. Mild soap only. Coasters and placemats are recommended for added protection, as with any natural wood surface.

What if my table arrives damaged?

We stand behind our work. If your table arrives with shipping damage, contact us immediately and we’ll make it right—whether that means repair, replacement, or another solution.
